Last minute find. Clean but noisy.

Clean, Clean, clean! I’ll stay here again! Easy to get in the no frills room. A/C worked and the beds are comfortable. Perfect place for a night or three.

Clean rooms, comfortable beds, good warm breakfast.

While checking into the hotel, staff at the front desk was very helpful and let us check in a little early since we were already there.

The property is under construction, changing from a Hawthorn Inn to a La Quinta. The building is not labeled at this time and doesn’t look open because of all the construction supplies and equipment in the parking lot and lobby/ hallways. It is still very grubby and worn, but the front desk agent was very friendly and helpful. We had two rooms booked, one of the rooms had been previously smoked in and cleaned or hadn’t had the filters changed in the air conditioning unit. I am extremely allergic to cigarette smoke so that room had to be changed out. Overall the breakfast area was mostly clean, with very standard fare. If there had been any other hotels on that side of Amarillo that had rooms open, we would have changed hotels. We will give it a year or more before checking with them again.
